Gamecap Pro Hd Install Problems/errors

Spork376

Question

I'm currently running a Dell XPS,Vista 64, with an ATI Radieon 3600 series graphics card. I've done the most recent windows update and turned off my firewall/virus scan. I've been trying to install the Gamecap HD Pro for hours now. I've check many of the other posts here and cannot seem to find a solution that works for me. I've tried installing to my Program Files(x86) folder as well as my regular Program files folder to no avail.

Attached is the installation log of when I attempted to install into Program Files (x86):

ROXIO_SETUP.txt

Below is an image of the section in which my installation stays on endlessly. Initially the instal failed because I didn't have the most recent windows update.

If there is any other information I can provide that will help, please let me know.

Best Guess...

Create a New Account with Administrator Privileges

Log on to that account ~ turn off UAC (user action control in Control Panel)

And Firewall and Anti Virus!

Copy your entire RGC disc to your local HDD (create a new folder for it)

Right Click the Setup.exe file in that new folder and look at Properties - Compatibility tab.
Nothing
may be checked in there!!!

Then Open setup.exe.

Let it install to its' default location!

Allow it to check for updates.

Assuming it works this time, you can turn on any firewall or AV you have, reboot to your normal account and delete this temporary account you created ^_^

Why and where did you get the idea to change the install path?

Your operating system is smart enough to install the program where it needs to go leave the install path set at default.
