Easy Cd & Dvd Burning...red Box.. Windows 7 Compatible

Mexicanrose

Question

I had an old version of the above mentioned product (Version # 9.0.554) and absolutely loved it. I bought a new computer, but found that I couldn't use this version on the new computer. I was told by someone here in the forum that for me to use Easy CD & DVD Burning I had to buy a new product (updated version), which I did, today.

I've found it quite different from what I'm used to. What's important to me is the "Audio Capture" which was on the 9.0.554, but I can't seem to find "Audio Capture" in the new version.

Can someone help me?...

Rose, if you've just bought the latest Easy CD and DVD Burning you should have version 10.x. - You can tell precisely by going up to the top line Help button and selecting 'About This Software'. Mine shows 10.3.104, what does yours show?

Your HOME menu should look like this when you select 'Audio'. I've put a red box around Easy Audio Capture [EAC]

EAC itself should look pop up and look like this.

This should be what you see, and what you want. Please check your version number and try to run EAC. Please report back what you see.

Brendon

I just purchased the Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning Software, and I have the same software version 10.3.104.

My software looks just like yours, except it does not have the Easy Audio Capture option (which is the feature I bought this for).

Did I get bad software? Should I return it? Can Roxio send me software to fix? I'm so confused. Roxio support is not easy! Please help!

Still waiting to hear back from Rose, but I'll try to help you in the meantime.

Frank Mac,

You'll see the Build Number just under the version number in my screenshot. What's your build number?

What Operating System are you running on it, just in case that matters?

In my XP system running Easy CD & DVD Burning 10.3.104 there is a directory C:\Program Files\Roxio\Audio Capture, and it contains AnalogRec10.exe. Can you find that directory and file on your machine?

Regards,

Brendon

Hi Brendon,

I have the same build as you, 101B04A, ECD.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I can't find either of those files.

Also, when I check for updates, it won't connect to the internet.

Do you have any suggestions.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Frank

Did you use the Windows Search function to look for that exe file?

Brendon: Hope your packing for a Fun Flight!!!

Been under the weather a bit lately, sorry I didn't have the energy to look this up earlier...

The Easy Audio Capture app IS NOT installed on Win7

Win7:

XP:

However it isn't a big deal as the very same program is part of Sound Editor

Click on that and your problem is over ;)

Thanks for your help!

When I click on Sound Editor then Record Audio, I get "No Recording Device Found"

Do I need to set something up, or link something.

I have an HP Desktop Computer.

I'm probably missing something simple.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Frank
