Another No Signal Problem

today i received my roxio hd capture card from amazon. i couldnt wait to get started on my youtube channel. i plug it in and it works on the tv but it says there is no signal. so i unplug it and then there is no signal on the tv now! i dont know what to do. i am on a asus laptop with 4 gigs of ram and a 2.4 ghz procesor. do i need more? someone please tell me what to do or if i have a faulty device. thank you.

Rule of USB Devices...

Never plug one in before you install the software/drivers that come with it!!!!


The pass through only works with the device is powered... So if you removed the USB cord, you killed the pass through :huh:


I think what you want to do is try a repair but make sure you do it this way...


First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.


With the Device Plugged in, go into Device Manager and uninstall it!


Remove the Device and set it aside for later.


Now insert your Roxio Disc - run Install.


Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)


When you reach the screen where
is offered, choose that!


When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
