Roxio Hd Pro- Many Problems

Question

So I got my roxio gamecap hd pro a couple of days ago and haven't had a chance till today and at one point i could get it to work for like half a minute then my computer like freaks out and will just restart or go to the blue screen then restart. I also had it work but in the roxio program al it showed was like the multi-color thing that i only remember from tv. Now I can't get a picture even and i can't even try to change the input. At this point I would want to get my money back but i want it to work so badly. By the way I have tried reinstalling the roxio program and stuff from other topics but nothing is working.

Can you collaborate on what I would need to do and what information you would need to help me properly.

For a refund Jim posted a link.

So it's not a refund and you want help to fix it?

You said you already tried everything, I'll check my pockets but I am pretty sure they don't have anything else... ;)

You never listed any of your PC Specs! We see a lot of users who think they meet or exceed but do not

Please list your specs and include your Windows Experience number (click Win-Pause).

Do you have another PC you can install and test it on ~ doesn't have to Lightning Bolt System, all we want to see is if the Software installs and runs OK when the RGC device is plugged in!

Is my pc strong enough and if so should i just send it back and get a new one?

Sorry I did not get back sooner!

Were you able to try it on a friend's PC?

The warranty period is short, so I would suggest that if you are going to send it back, do so Monday!

This is extensive, but it what I suggest...

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!
