My digital camera is Canon powershot ELPH 300 HS

Thank you for your Help. .. I wonder why this problem is not fix !!!!

What other video editing software .. is available instead of Creator ..?

Ask Canon why they create non-standard mov files?

Other video software also has problems with those files.

Corel now owns Roxio; try a Corel product. Video Studio There is a free trial. Google for others.

Just for information, how long does it take to convert the mov file using whatever you are using. It should take no more than a couple of minutes for a hour long video.

Convertions are very fast ... however I have lots of videos which increases the amount of time like: 60 videos = 30 mins ...

Also the amount of space goes up. I have to keep the *mov files and new ones .. eating up a lots of space .. nightmare !!!

I will try video studio ....

Note that mov is a highly compressed format. You will be working with mpg2 files that are not that compressed. So more space. Not a nightmare; just technology at work. :P

Use a batch converter, for example 'Any Video Converter" that will do all those videos one after another. Set it up and go get something to drink or have a bathroom break.

Get an external USB connected hard drive to store the mov files on. Mega Space is cheap now.

There are reports that VideoStudio has the same problem. The main problem is that digital cameras are trying to be "camcorders" and that seems to create incompatible files for some cameras.

Here is the audio difference in between my old Cannon Power Shot that used .AVI and the new Power Shot using .Mov. AVI's played in Roxio .Mov Plays with audio in VLC, WMP. Quicktime, CyberLink Power DVD not Roxio. Cannon won't help and refer you to Roxio as there problem.

I like creator 2102. I see that IMOVIE from apple support lots of digital cameras formats

Here is the link:

I wonder if you have try this, if so do you recomend imovie?

Thanks

Ernesto.

One would need a MAC for that to work

Also you should know that it is against the Forum rules to post a 3rd Party software when it does the same thing as Roxio's...

Things like Gspot or some of the converters we list are OK because they perform a function that Roxio Softwares do not.
