Setting All Users' Default To Write-Once One Recording

Hi

 

We've got a few different versions of Creator (V9 & 10) and want to set the default for all user's so that they default to Write-Once for one recording, rather then the default " use discs for more then 1 recording".

 

Found the respective reg keys, but wondered if there is an all version key I can use ?

 

V9 (module 3.3) =

"CloseDVD"=dword:00000001

 

V10.3 =

10.3 sounds like a Dell addition not a Retail Roxio product?

I'm trying to find the value to add to the registry to set the CD Recording option type to default to DAO. I have tried creating a string value called "CloseCD" similar to the "CloseDVD" value but that didn't seem to work.

The value you want, which sets the CD recording 'Type' options, is RecordType in that key. Here it is in version 10.1, same as in 10.3

RecordType 0 is the Roxio default, TAO, Open

RecordType 2 is TAO, closed

RecordType 3 is DAO, closed

 

The CloseDVD value toggles the 'Write-Once DVD Compatibility' field not the recording type.
