Cannot Select Component/ D Terminal

Hey, i recently bought the original roxio game capture for my Playstation 3 and when i try to set up the video output settings it doesnt work, i click Component/ D terminal but it doesnt go to the next screen, it just goes black for 30 seconds then back to the previous screen. if i unplug my HDMI cable the screen goes black and i cannot see anything and if i switch to component on my TV, it doesnt even pick up the PS3 for some reason

 

Any Help would be appreciated.
