What Is The Function Of The Toast 11 Hdb Plug In?

I recently bought the Toast 11 HDB plug in and then I bought the Toast 11 application because the plug in says it is the upgrade for de app, but I don't see any better. I got the plug in looking for making Blu Ray discs as buck ups but it doesn't. Could somebody tell me what is the function of this plug in?

“The High-Def/Blu-ray Disc Plug-in for Toast 11 Titanium lets you author HD video content from AVCHD™ camcorders and EyeTV recordings on to standard DVDs and Blu-ray Discs for playback on any standard Blu-ray set top box or PlayStation® 3 game console.”

I.e. it lets you author non-DRM'ed HD content.

You do not need it to make backups of data files on BD discs.

The plugin doesn't let you rip commercial BD discs, not even for backup purposes.

theoldarchiver, I was interested in BD bakups because of its more capacity. It means I must be done in standard dvds only?
