Hdmi Capture Doesn't Work On My 360 Slim.

Question

Whenever I try to hook the Roxio up to my xbox 360 slim the only thing I see on both the TV and my laptop is a black screen with a thick blue line running down it. If I move the roxio over to my old 360 elite it works flawlessly. I'm guessing it is some sort of settings on the slim but I have no idea what. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't really know what you want me to say as far as setup because it DOES work with my old elite xbox. I have them sitting side by side both fully updated to newest dashboards. I will hook up the hdmi to the roxio game capture with display settings on the Elite at 720p and Roxio gets a signal and works fine. I use the exact same cable but move it over to my Slim with the SAME 720p resolution and no signal. Are there any other settings that could have messed this up? I do not understand it.

I've been looking at this and I can't think of why it wouldn't work.

Here's a couple of pics showing a 360 slim through the RGC.

I'm using the same monitor to capture as well as display the pass-through.

Everything works just fine.

1st here's a pic of the XBox setting screen

Now here's a pic of my software box

Lastly here's a pic of the Options box from the software

You can see everything is ok and ready to capture.

I really can't see a reason it wouldn't work.

As long as you only have 1 output cable connected then the XBox automatically detects it and outputs to that port.

Without some modification to the Component adapter you can't connect both HDMI and Component at the same time.

So in theory the XBox should automatically detect the HDMI connection and set itself for that output...in theory.
