Problems Creating Temporary Partition In Mountain Lion

Question

When I create a temporary partition to make a hybrid disc, Toast 10 places an file in the documents instead of on the desktop which cannot be opened nor is this file idenified by Toast. Is there anything that I can do to solve this problem?

Does the file have the extension .toast? If so, it is the unmounted temporary partition file. It is mounted by choosing Mount Disc Image in the Toast Utilities menu (and in some other ways, too). When the temporary partition is unmounted it can be dragged to the trash and deleted, which results in the temporary partition no longer existing or taking up space.
