Miklos Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 I have installed the program Creator 8 with only a few extra features. I tried the 8.05 update. I removed all the software. I installed just the version 8 again from the cd. I even went back through the control panel and hit "repair" I can't get the program to work. It crashes before I can drag 3 files downward. The error shows when it asks to send to Microsoft. creator8.exe modname mfc71u.dll mod ver 7.10.3077.0 I have Win XP home version. I have turned off everything except the antivirus. What AV program are you running? I am just using the Creator 8 classic to write to dvds. AV program? My video card is Radeon 9250 XP SP2 All other programs off while trying to get into Creator 8. Make sure that you have the latest drivers, for your video card, from ATI's website. Uninstall the drivers that you have now, before installing the new ones. I have no clue what you are looking at in Device Manager, but ATI makes Radeon cards, unless you have an OEM version. At any rate, go to ATI's site, and download the latest version of the drivers. Download the catalyst drivers. There is a link to it down the left hand side of the page. http://www.atitech.ca/ After you download them, go to Add/Remove Programs, and uninstall your current drivers, reboot, then install the drivers you downloaded.
