Roxio Freezes When Trying To Capture Wii

Hello! I have a prolem with my Roxio, I'm trying to use it to capture some Wii footage, however whenever I turn on my Wii and boot up the Roxio, the screen on the Roxio program is black and nothing happens, a few seconds later if I try to change something in the options or settings, it freezes. I do have an image on my TV though. The way I configured everything at first was Wii > Wii 2 HDMI adapter > HDMI cable > Roxio > HDMI cable > TV. It did what I explained so I decided to use component cables instead of the HDMI adapter and HDMI cable. It still does the same thing, I'm at a loss here, which is why I'm making this topic... Any ideas what's causing the issue?

Sounds as though the software is corrupted...

 

Try a Repair, but do it just like this!

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completly finished.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Well I did all those steps, now it doesn't recognize it at all, I'd like to add that yesterday, before trying with my Wii, I recorded some PC footage with the Roxio and it was fine. I tried switching of HDMI ports, but it didn't do anything.

Switching WHAT hdmi ports??? (there is only ONE on the device for input)

 

Run the process again, sometimes it take up to 3 attempts to get it all right.
