Question

I just bought the Roxio "VHS to DVD 3 Plus" software to convert a special family VHS tape to DVD. I am also getting the distorted image at the top with the red and green banding. I have a Lenovo Think center system with Windows 7. It is an almost new system. Playback of the tape at the TV does not have the problem. It only shows through the Roxio connection. Conveniently Roxio did not send me a support code number so I can't submit the question (I am registered). I have wasted about 4 hours of time looking for driver updates etc. Right now I am very frustrated and figure I wasted my money on this easy to use product. Judging from the other responses in this section, it seems this is a Roxio problem and not a user issue.

I am hoping someone can help???

No, it is not a Roxio Problem or we would all have it...

There are NO updates for EVD 3.

What you describe, usually comes from old tapes or tapes that were recorded in lower quality settings, like LP or EP, combined with time...

Common work arounds are to Stop the Tape, FF to the end then let it fully Rewind. (I had one that required this 5 or 6 times to get everything off the tape).

Also try a different VCR if one is available.

As far as a Support Code, when did you install/register the software???
