Pixelation In Mov Files

Question

I created a DVD with several MOV files. The DVD plays normally on my desktop PC and laptop (both fairly new).

When I play the DVD on my DVD player, there is pixelation on 3 out of 10 files. The DVD player is about 5 years old. What causes this?

Since the DVD play poorly only on your DVD player, it pretty much points to your DVD player. Did you look to see if there is a firmware update for the DVD player? Some players, usually the better ones do have issues playing home burned DVD. What is the brand and model number of the DVD player?

Did you use good quality DVD blanks? No Memorex or store brand discs? JVC ToiyoYuden, Verbatim, or Sony are the better quality discs.

Also consider the Quality Settings you used for output...

Some Players struggle with low quality settings regardless of the Media used

HQ Output is always a winner! ;)
