Audio Capture "what U Hear" Not Available In Windows 7?

Question

I recently upgraded operating system to Windows 7 Professional from XP. Is Creator 9 compatible with Windows 7. I was able to load it, but have not tried using it. One feature that seems to have disappeared is the What U Hear option under Easy Audio Capture. This allowed capture of anything playing through computer speakers. Not sure why an operating system change made this disappear. Is there a way to retrieve this capability? Otherwise what current programs offer ability to capture sound through stereo speakers (not microphone or line input)....

thanks

Besides that the What you Hear option came from a Creative sound card.

Did you get compatible software from Creative or let Windows 7 load a driver?

Try going to the Creative site for updated software for your card.

If that doesn't work you can try this site. There are packs for other series of cards besides the Audigy family also.

It's a build of Creatives drivers and software that isn't supported by them but works well.

I've got it running on Windows 8 on an old Audigy 2 card and everything works except the Game Port which is no longer supported.
