Rich Larned
I have Roxio bundled with Win7. Tried to copy a DVD and got the following message: "extended error 0xfffe84f3". It copied the original DVD, but crashed when it tried to burn. I'm using DVD+R media. Any ideas?
Brendon
Which Roxio program or suite do you have bundled with Win 7? [name and version number, please] Which program in the suite are you trying to use?

Brendon
Hi Rich, Sorry for the delay, I was out of town for a week. I haven't been able to find anything definitive on that extended error. There is one other topic on the Creator 2012 board about it, http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/82466-roxio-burn-failed-to-burn-this-disk-extended-error-0xfffe84f3/ but that was never answered. Reading that topic I did get the impression that the error showed only when the OP was trying to deal with one particular source disc, and all others worked well. Here are some ideas, but I can't focus them down without more info from you. Have you tried copying any other DVD, and if so what was the result? With this problem disc, what type of DVD is it? Video or Data? You said it copied the DVD but crashed when trying to burn. Did you copy it to an image on your hard drive and then try to burn from the image? I think Roxio Burn can make ISO or GI images. [it isn't loaded on this machine so I can't look] Which type of image did you make, and can you try the other type? Regards, Brendon
