My Slide Show Appears To Lose A Second Of Duration...

Question

I have 202 slides with a duration of 5 sec and a slow dissolve of .2 sec. the math is simple 202 x 5 = 1010 which is 16min 50 sec. I was happily adding music based on these figures, problem is the show duration is only 14 mins 30 secs. I do not seem to be able to find 2 min 20 secs that should be there. Each slide shows the proper duration. Any ideas?

I'm a bit confused by the bold text above?

So the music quits before the slide show ends?

Your 'dissolves' [transitions] are using up approx .4 of each 'slide' causing them to basically overlap each other by the time of the transition. so each slide is only actually taking up about 4.6 seconds [approx]. Thats why the overall length is shorter than you expected. another reason to plan/add audio after in a project like this when you know what the actual length of the project will be. You'll need to either shortn the audio or lengthen the slides.

Larry, I deleted the first two transistions and the timing was back to 5 seconds. Seems screwy that a transition would actually shorten the duration and thus overall production time. The math works though, according to: right click on transition, hit properties, hit editing and the duration is .7 seconds. So every 10 slides is 7 seconds, I have 202 slides math comes out to my missing 2 mins 20 seconds to get back to my original 16 mins 50 sec. Now if I can just figure out how to change the duration time on my entire slide show without clicking on each image....
