How Do I Obtain My Friggin Support Code?

Question

Hi,

 

I just registered my product and I have an issue running it, I get a nifty error message popping up everytime I try to run pretty much anything in it.

I registered my product fair and square and got a pretty 'Welcome to the Roxio family' email, in which according to the web site I am supposed to get a support code that I can use within 14 days to help for issues... Problem is: there's no code whatsoever in there!

 

How do I get my code???

 

I find it frustrating to have to spend so many time searching the web to get a little help on a new product I just bought!

In any case you don't really need a official from Tech Support to tell you your install is corrupt and you need to do a proper repair :huh:

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc - run Install.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

 

Hopfully that will do the trick, otherwise there is a more extensive process ;)

I also registered my Creator NXT Pro and received the email acknowledgement, but no support code for Tech support. The msg was a standard msg, not like the Jim Hardin one. Have been all over their net sites to find how to get the code with no luck. Have written to return the product, but would prefer to keep it. The customer support is not good. Time is running short for my Tech Support. Anyone with idea of how to get the blummin' support code? thanks

Go here signin and see if your product with CD Key is registered?

Did you check your e-mail spam folder for the code? Sometimes it goes there.

 

Did you try the repair that Jim posted? Do this (link) and then try the repair again. If you run out of time and/or have a different problem start your own thread in the appropriate part of the froums and fully explain your problem. It would also be a big help if you include information on your computer (do this). Follow the instructions carefully, do not copy and paste, make sure you ATTACH the text file.

I have the same problem. I purchased the download of Creator NXT and registered it. Here's what I got from Roxio:

I need a support code because Creator NXT will not install. Unless you have a support code, or you are buying something from them, there is no way to contact them. In the meantime, the 14 day clock is running. Does it start when you register the product, or when they send you the code?
