Mac2Tivo 1.2.1 Menulet?

iAmSyberKnight

Question

i just recently got the Toast 11 recommended by Tivo for my new Tivo Premeire.

have it running on Mountain Lion 10.8.2

i noticed there's a separate process in Activity Monitor that runs even when Mac2Tivo doesn't, called "RXTivoServer".

1) does that mean i can "quit" the Mac2Tivo application and the server part will still run in the background & work with the Tivo?

&

2) is there a Menulet for this somewhere?

thanks.

There is a manual that is accessed via the Help menu. Did you click to stop the Mac2Tivo server before quitting Mac2Tivo? I just tried it out and RXTivoserver appeared in the Activity list after launching Mac2Tivo and remained after I turned off the server and quit the application. It was gone after I logged out and back in.

hi tsantee... again ;-)

so, wondering if you misread "Menulet" for "Manual" ???

still curious if there is a "menulet" downloadable for Mac2Tivo that i haven't found yet.

i notice the same thing with RXTivoServer. wondering if that's the actual process that Tivo needs? i haven't had time to experiment yet. i just wanna get this stuff rollin' first.

I knew you didn't mean "manual" but I had trouble understanding the definition I looked up for "menulet" and figured you might find the manual helpful in any case. I now think I know what a menulet is and one did appear in the menu bar when I launched Mac2Tivo but it quickly disappeared. So it must be crashing due to some bug. When the RXTivoserver is showing in Activity Monitor the menulet doesn't appear even for a second.

When I looked inside the Mac2Tivo package (control-click on the app and choose Show Package Contents) I see that RXTivoserver is part of the package.
