Editing Family Movies

Bird Lady

Question

I had some family movies put on DVDs from 8mm film. Now I am trying to put the events in the right time order. Is there a way to do this? Maybe make chapters and then move them around. Also, when we had them put on the DVDs he put music with them. Is there anyway to change the music?

Thank You any help will be appreciated.

Thank you for your help. I didn't get my tutorials to come up, but I think I figured out how to splice and paste my videos.

Now, is there a fast way to tell me how to make my DVD's full size to view on TV. The way I have them set it shows them in a box.

Thanks again....

Have you watched any of the Tutorials available from the home page when you open NXT.

They are at the bottom of the Home page ...." Learning Center"....click on it, and select "Video - Movies".

Scroll down the page to "Editing a movie with VideoWave".

Your TV is probably 16 by 9 aspect ratio. Those old video tapes were probably 4 by 3 aspect ratio. There is no way to stretch the 4 by 3 to fill a 16 by 9 screen size without severe distortion. First see if there is something you can do with the TV controls to adjust it better. The controls you have depend on the TV.

One way of making it look better: If you saved your project from Video Wave (edit video advanced), output it to an mpg2 file for DVD best quality. Name and remember where you save it. Open a new project, add a color panel or an image to the main track. Make it as long (time) as the mpg file. Add the mpg file to and overlay track and make it fit into the view-able screen about 5% smaller. Output that to another file and use it in Create DVD.
