My Tv Is My Monitor As Well...

greenbean82

Question

I've recently built a good gaming rig (yay) but I still play plenty on console (which is why I purchased this product :) ). I've got my HDMI cables all hooked in, but need to switch between HDMI channels to see what's happening on either my Xbox or PC. Is it possible to still record while I'm on the channel for my xbox? I've had it all up and running already, but when I go to check, nothing is showing up on my 'Capture' screen....any help/suggestions/ideas would be well appreciated :)

Here is the HDMI XBox setup guide.

How are you connected?

If I understand your setup, you only have one Monitor and need to play on that after you start up the RGC???

You are using something like, HDMI 1 for your PC and HDMI 2 for the RGC Pass through???

YES, just use the Hotkeys to start or stop recording ~ Default = F6 = Start | F7 = Stop

(Tools - Options - Hotkey tab)

There are also Hotkeys for Streaming if you need them ;)

I'm connected exactly as the guide says. What I'm saying is, when I check to make sure anything is up on my PC, it just shows nothing, like nothing is hooked up?

The guide shows a TV hooked to the RGC Device via HDMI and a laptop hooked to the RGC Device via USB.

Your post title says "My Tv Is My Monitor As Well" !

So what one do you mean?

You got that right ;) ....so tell us how you have got the cables connected to the TV from your Xbox, (cables have names, like HDMI,Component etc) be specific. If you don't know get somebody over to help you.
