Register Product But Get "product Not Activated"

Question

I registered my Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 and then attempted to install the product. As I did when I successfully registered the product,

I entered the product key; it pauses can comes back with a dialogue box reading "Product is not activated."

What gives? If I can register the product and it accepts my product code, why will it not when I entered the same code to install on my computer to activate the product.

Oh, well......I has been one of those "special Mondays.

Thanks for any light in the dark installation tunnel.

There have been quite a few of these mainly products bought from Best Buy.

They need to do a activation thing at the check out and they didn't, return it and tell them where they went wrong.
