I just tried my roxio game cap hd pro out last night, while I was in party chat it recorded the voice of my party just fine, but not mine. But, while I was in game chat it wouldn't record anything, it's weird because it records game sound, and I know I have everything plugged in right as I followed the set-up guide step-for-step. So, any help would be much appreciated as to how to get it to record my voice and game chat.

Of course it didn't record your voice as your voice wasn't output-ed by your console (only input-ed). If that were to happen, you would hear your own voice every time you talk and that would be very annoying. Most YouTubers record their own voice using external programs like Audacity and not their own capture card (with the exception of some that supports live commentaries). This also means you need to use another mic.

Alright, thank you for the response. So I'll need to get another mic and a program like audacity, but why does game chat not record though?

What do you mean by game chat? Are you talking about your own voice? As I've said the console you're using does not output your own voice which means the Roxio cant record it as it is not played.

No game chat as in other people speaking, weird game chat recorded on MW2 today, but didn't want to record for it last night.
