Roxio Game Cap - No Color On Ps3

Hey everyone.

 

So my issue is that my roxio game cap when hooked through my PS3 to my tv displays as black and white (no color) on my TV. I have color on the pc though (the feed coming in from my TV). I have had this problem before but generally switching wires around fixes it, but not this time. Any suggestions/fixes?

Is the color ok on the TV when you plug the PS3 directly into the same Component input?.

 

if yes, try a quick test by using a another source like a DVD player/Camcorder into the Roxio capture card. When you try this make sure the capture card USB is plugged into your PC.

i have this problem but it is not fixed, is it possible to do it with Red White And Blue Wires?

Do you even have the GameCAP HD???

 

You posted HERE which is a forum for a completly different product and there you say you have "Yellow - Red - White", no mention of Blue

 

Hard to assist someone without knowing the product or setup...

Were do you want to use this weird Red,White and Blue cable?. Give us some details please. Use the picture in post 4 as your guide.

I'm so sorry for anyone's time I have wasted, it seems the problem was the inputs on the front of my TV caused everything to be black/white. When I plugged the wires into the back everything was in color.

How about when PS3 is plugged directly into TV on same input?

I tried with a DVD player, TV is still black/white. Came up as color on my computer.

Standard and its not that, I've dealt with that possibility already. Before the black/white issue it was always super blurry and that fixed it.

We are getting there, so which version do you have the Standard or HD Pro.

Sorry! I didn't realize that Dx I'm using component cables for both (coming out my PS3 into the roxio, and from the roxio into my TV).

First, you have posted in the Roxio HD Pro version forum, not the SD (Standard Definition) no big deal (yet).

 

You say you are using Composite Cables (Yellow (Video), Red & White (Audio).....is this correct.

Roxio comes with Component cables Video(Red/Green/Blue) and Red/White (Audio)

Like I thought I said, I use the roxio game cap (not hd one). I have my composite video cables coming out my PS3 into the video/audio out. I have the USB going into my computer and then the composite cables that came with roxio going from the video/audio in to my TV. This is the setup I always use but the color issues are recent. I've switched every cable so that's not the problem.

These wires have names (e.g. HDMI/Component).

 

Look at the attached picture, and tell us what specific cables (wires) you have connected, and to were.

I switched around the wires that came with the roxio thing (like, put side a into the tv, then side b, no change.). Then I switched which side the wires went in (the in side of the rocio, then the out side) then I switched wires completely. No change, still no colors on tv.

How do you have the cables hooked up. Start with> PS3 to Capture using ??????????...........
