No Signal After Clicking Live Stream

RetroSpock

Question

Hey

The device has been working great up until about 5 minutes ago. I've sat down stream some Skyrim from my PS3 to Twitch.tv, which is normally fine. The game appears in the preview window, and the status is a green 'Ready'. Once I click Live Stream under the preview video, the screen goes black and the status changes to a red 'No Signal'. I've never had this problem before and it has been working great up until now. I would also like to point out that recording the gameplay is fine, it just happens with streaming.

The PS3 is connected via Component, the capture device is connected to my monitor via HDMI.

Any ideas?

I've also taken screenshots of my problem - 1 is the preview window, 2 is after I've clicked Live Stream

Thanks :)

You never listed anything about your PC?

But as it did work and now it does not, we will assume that it actally meets specs  But it might have been on the low edge and something changed to tip it over, so tell us what you got ;)

Another approach would be a software problem... Fot that let's start with a Repair:

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Hey Jim, I see your name on about 99% of posts, so I have the solution for you, just incase it comes in handy. The problem occurs when you switch outputs on the PS3. My setup is using component into my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro, which is then using a HDMI output into my monitor. Now, when I move the PlayStation to another room to use via HDMI, I will hold the start button to reset its output to HDMI for use on the main television. The next time I bring my PS3 back into the computer room for streaming, I repeat the procedure to reset the PS3s output and set it up to component once again. Now, when I immediately click stream, I get No Signal when clicking on the Live Stream button, dispite the fact that the preview window had my gameplay in it. The solution is to restart your PS3 once you've changed output modes on the console! It's a bit silly, since everything appears to work fine until you click 'Live Stream', but hey ho, that's how I've gotten it to work again!

Namaste

I'm getting really annoyed with it now. I've had 2 hours of spare time for the first time in a while and I was looking forward to some streaming. Unfortunately, No Signal once I clicked 'Live Stream' but there's a signal when I first load up the program. I've been fighting with it for the entire duration of my spare time and I've still had no joy.

I've tried a repair, I've tried reinstalling and neither worked

My computer specs are

Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz

6GB Ram

Radeon HD 6800 Series

Windows 7 64bit

I'm at a loss and I'm so close to returning it.

One more way to go about this ;) This is extensive, but it what I suggest...

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!
