HI. I failed to find the answer after a search.

How do I burn my AVI files to a DVD?

I saw that there may be a "My DVD" menu when I open Roxio.....but I don't have this.

Thanks in advance.

You posted in the Creator 2010 part of the forum. Is that what you have? What are you trying to do, simply burn the file to a disc or are you trying to make a disc so that it plays on a DVD player?

They change the names on some of the programs. MtDVD is an old name, look for Create DVD - Advanced or similar. Where did you but the program. There are some OEM versions of Creator 10 that would have been on your computer when you bougth it. Those OEM versions are functionally challenged on some of the applications.

Please let us know. Creator 2010 probably came out in 2009 so it is a 4 year old version. Where did you get it?

Thanks Skinis.

It is Creator DE 10.3 and I bought the disc online. I think it is a reinstall disc.

I have tried to create a Data disc ...the files transferred....but it would not play on my DVD player.

I am guessing I will have to use a programme to convert ???

ps...just tring to burn to a DVD and to be able to save and play on my DVD player.

Harleyclarkey,

I'm sorry, but your Creator 10 DE is severely castrated. It has had most of the useful bits removed at Dell's request [to make it cheaper to give away].

If you look at this comparison of the menus, the "Video" section is the one you need to make a DVD that will play on your DVD player, and you don't have it.

The DE version is 'bundled' [given away free] by Dell, and if you paid anything for your disc you were ripped off.
