tsantee
Is your iTunes library somewhere other than the default location in your Music folder?
PhilJohnson
I just purchased a Blue Ray Writer and Toast 11 with the Blue Ray plug-in came with it. When I clicked on the Media Browser it points to my iPhoto and iMovie libraries that are on my "start up" drive. That is their default location. I have so many photos and videos that I installed another hard drive in my Mac Pro (OS 10.7.5) to keep my photos and movies there. So, can I somehow change Toast settings to look for my photos and videos on a hard drive that is not the "start up" drive i.e., the default location for my photos and movies? I know that iPhoto and iMovie allows me to change the default location of my photos and movies which allows me to use my newly installed hard drive with those applications. Does Toast allow you to change the default location of your photos and movies so I can point it to my new hard drive?
LordArthur
Thanks Digital Guru As far as I know, the iTunes library is at the default music folder, I have not changed it and I do not have an external hard drive yet. This is what it looks like: "/Users/(heremyusername)/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music" When I open iTunes I have access to all my music. I have 65 Gigas of music, Do you think it might be related to it and that it will take some time to load? I left Toast open a while (5min) to see if the iTunes music information showed up but no luck Thanks

I left Toast open a while (5min) to see if the iTunes music information showed up but no luck Thanks Toast should quickly read the library directory. It should allow you to select the entire library or any of the playlists in the upper part of the browser and all associated tracks in the lower part. I can only think of two things to try. One is to use Disk Utility to repair permissions. The other is go to your User>Library>Preferences folder and trash the Toast plist and prefs files, and relaunch Toast. LordArthur
Thanks Tsantee I did repair permissions, not luck. I did trash the toast.plist file from the library (general library, I can't see a library in my user folder) and it did not work either. I could not find a toast pref file, is that bad? Thanks again, I will keep reading. Do you think I should reinstall toast? Is it possible from a downloaded access key or I need a phisical DVD with the program? You can reinstall from the Toast 11.1 file that is available in Roxio's software updates page. When you launch the reinstalled Toast it will take you through the setup assistant again but should remember your registration code. The prefs file is titled "Roxio Toast Prefs". LordArthur
Update: I found the users library and deleted roxio toast prefs as well as the roxio plist and restarted toast, still not working, I cant see my audio files from iTunes. I reinstall toast and nothing, I am running out of ideas... keep reading and looking in forums but there is not much about this problem... weird! tsantee
Since we can't find a solution, there is a workaround. You can drag playlists from iTunes or the tracks from within playlists to the Toast window. The tracks must be on the hard drive and not in the cloud.
