Stereo To Mono When Exporting From Eyetv

Question

I have Toast 11 on Leopard (old, I know). I also have some EyeTV recordings I'd like to export to a DVD, but the audio on them was corrupted when they were recorded -- one of the stereo channels is fine, the other is just a constant hiss. Is there a way to drop the bad channel from the file that gets to the DVD, or to duplicate the good channel on both channels (like an old mono recording)?

Which EyeTV device are you using? If the captured video was standard definition and MPEG 2 then you can tell Toast to Never Re-encode in which case Toast shows that it is Multiplexing rather than Encoding the program and there should be no affect on the audio or video quality. If Toast does have to encode the program let me know the specs that Toast reports in its window when you've added the EyeTV program. Are you using the Toast Media Browser to add the program?
