Generating Chapter Menus

how do I find the check box for "generating chapter menus and linking......" in Roxio Creator nxt......Ii does not show up on the bottom of the edit chapter area?

If your not seeing these options:

 

 

 

Then you have clicked on Chapters while under the Movies tab

 

Make sure you have the Menus tab selected and it will be there.

Thanks for the tips from another rookie when it comes to working with chapters. I have a couple more questions on this subject. First of all when I open the Edit Chapters window it looks different than the one you show. Mine looks like this:

 

 

(If you could also explain how I include a screenshot image directly into my post, I would appreciate it. The forum Help I looked at does not explain How it just Identifies the icon above for Image, but it wants a URL.)

 

Since I could not figure out how to include an image in this post, I have included an attachment with a screen shot of the Edit Chapter window I see. At the bottom the Check Box just says: Update Chapter Menus. I added chapter markers manually and when I click OK, a submenu is created with buttons for each chapter. However, as I discovered when previewing the project, selecting a button on the submenu takes you to that chapter start point, and the remainder of the movie plays from that point on to the end.

 

Is there any way of making it play just the chapter selected without continuing to the remaining chapters? I hope I made that clear, if not ask me to explain it again. And please inform me how to add an image directly into the post. Thank you.

Did you select Menus tab in the Project View window before selecting "Edit Chapters" as was explained in the earlier posts?

 

The video will always play from a selected chapter point to the end of the video. That is by design and is how commercial videos also behave.

Yes I did select the Menus tab before selecting Edit Chapters. Now that I figured out how to post an image, see below: I suppose the only way to play one chapter at a time would be to divide the movie into separate "chapter" movies and then add each chapter to the production. Thanks for the input.
