Not Able To Burn .avi Files To Blu-Ray...

I'm new to Toast so please forgive the newbie question. I'm trying to burn home movies stored on my Mac using Toast. When I drag the file over I get the following error message. “MVI_1473.AVI” is in an unsupported format and cannot be imported." Is there a step that I'm missing in order to burn these to blu-ray??

That shouldn't be a problem. What setting are you using in Toast? Does the .avi play with QuickTime Player?

Under the video tab, I selected Blu-ray. Once the drag/drop area appears, the settings on the right are as follows... Format: DVD-Video. Menu Style: Splash. Quality:Better. If there are other settings you're referring to please let me know where to locate these. The .avi does play with QuickTime Player without any difficulty.

Check the file name. If it has any apostrophes or other unusual characters delete those.
