Black Screen When Roxio Is Connected Or Vice Versa Laptop Works And Black Screen O Tv Help!

hey guys i got a big problem i connected the roxio game capture but get black screen on tv and works on laptop or vice versa works on tv but not on laptop and i got tosbiha televsion can anyone help been trying to solve this for 2 weeks now lol

Second time....do you have both HDMI and component plugged in the PS3 at the same time. If so, remove the HDMI cable and see if that helps.

See if the PS3 works ok when you plug the component cable directly into the TV.

 

If that works ok, try using another source (other than the PS3) into the capture card, like a DVD/Camcorder/BD player using a component cable

 

Just to test with a known good signal.

Oh yea another pic the original hdmi cable I had in before mate

I took pics to show you and basically before I got the roxio product I had a hdmi cable already in after I bought the roxio I removed the original hdmi cable and put the new one that you have to buy for ps3 as you see from pics

Are you 100% sure you are connected up as is shown in the picture in post #5.

 

Out of the PS3 into the INPUT side of the Capture card, then the OUTPUT to the TV, usb to Laptop

 

I am running out of ideas.

Yeah I unplugged the original and put in the one shown in picture nothing happens it either works on laptop and the tv come black or vice versa lol

The cable you had to buy looks like this

 

 

Before you bought the Roxio unit you had a HDMI (digital) cable plugged into your TV's HDMI input.

 

I am asking you to UNPLUG the HDMI cable from the PS3 (if it is plugged in). That should leave just the Component cable from the the PS3 connected to a Component Input jack on your TV (this is the cable that came with the Roxio).

 

Look at the picture in post #5.

Ok I got the one you have to buy with roxio i will try do that remove that see if anything happens mate

Basically I had a hdmi cable before I got the roxio components etc n followed how to fix the roxio box but if it works on laptop but don't work on tv if tv is on den don't wrk on roxio device. I am sure it's to do with a hd but can't sort it out either way getting black screen annoying me

The PS3 is set for Component/D-Terminal and nothing is plugged in the HDMI output.?

 

Does the problem flip back and forth all the time, or do you do something that makes it switch. Having trouble visualizing whats happening.

I have a toshiba regza tv and a toshiba satellite pro c850 windows 8 with all the requirements and have a ps3 console and if it works on tv the laptop just stays black and if it works on the laptop it's black on the tv and wires are correctly in

So, you have "wires" a "thing" and a "Toshiba laptop".

 

Have you got the component cables hooked up as shown in the picture below, many people do it wrong.

 

 

 

What type of console do you have Xbox/PS3/??

 

There are many,many Toshiba laptops around, what specific one do you have?.

Yeah I got the wires and the roxio thing just having this problem so annoyed mate does it work on a toshiba laptop
