Hot Keys Not Working.

I'm having some issues using the hot keys to Start and Stop capture on the GameCap HD Pro software. Pressing the hot keys doesn't do anything 90% of the time. Sometimes, I can go in to the options and change the hot keys and the start hot key will work but then the stop hot key won't. And then if I stop it manually on the interface and try to use the start hot key again, it doesn't work again. I checked and my Roxio software is up to date and my keyboard drivers are up to date as well.

Model: HP G62 Notebook PC

Processor: AMD Phenom II P650, Dual-Core Processor, 2.60 GHz

RAM: 4.00 GB

System Type: 64-bit OS

Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

Keyboard: In device manager it says "Standard PS/2 Keyboard"

Please attach this information to a reply. It will tell us more about your computer.

 

Also this section of the forums is for the capture device that is used to capture games played on a PC; not with games played on a gaming console. Perhaps that is why you are not getting much help. James is an expert so if he can't help you, then there is no use to ask for someone else. Remember we are users and not Roxio/Corel Staff.

I've attached the file here. And I am trying to record PC Game-play. This problem just occurred while I was attempting to record on PC so I posted in this section of the forums, it could go in either one because the hot keys don't work correctly while trying to record either console or PC. If there is a better section of the forum, you can move this thread there.

Do you mean you have both the "PC Game Capture" program and the "Roxio Game Capture HD Pro" installed on your system?

You are the only one that has complained so far - that may indicate an issue with your computer. It is marginal for using the software. Make sure that you are no running anything else while you are capturing -- not even your anti-virus. You should even be connected to the Internet. Set that laptop to fill power and not one of the Power saving modes - yours is now set to balanced.

 

The above are general observations that hold true for any computer. running a high stress program. I do not own or have I ever run the program. Someone else will have to help; just don't insult them - they are users; not Roxio Tech Support.
