Help Burning A Dvd

Steph16

Question

I am new to the Mac world (about a year in) and am trying to figure out how to burn movies. After buying Toast 11, I thought it would be a breeze. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessfully burning many, many DVD's. I am trying to burn a project created in iMovie and would like playback on a standard DVD player. I have tried burning both formats, PAL and NTSC, with no success. I know there is another post describing how to save as a disc image, which I tried with no success, and mounting, again tried and no success. I am in desperate need of any help or advice. I apologize for appearing to be very basic in my knowledge. Thank you for your help...

It should be simple so I don't know what's going wrong. Choose DVD-video as the format in the Video section, select the video tab in the Toast Media Browser to locate you iMovie project. Add that to the main Toast window. Edit the text for the menu and select a menu style. Click the burn button. If you choose Save as Disc Image instead of clicking the burn button you can select the resulting .toast file using the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. This mounts the disc image which makes it playable with DVD Player so you can preview it before burning it to disc. When you're ready click the burn button in the Copy window to make the DVD from the disc image.
