Will Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Work On A Nes?

Does the Roxio Game Capture HD PRO work with a NES. I would like to get only one capture card for Great game play footage with my PS3 for streaming but i also need to do it with my NES.

 

also I can't find any support places on the main Roxio site without paying, it there a place?

Okay, NES, looks like an older Nintendo Entertainment System? I'm guessing it only has a composite video output, not component? If so, then no, the Roxio HD Pro Game Capture unit will not work. You could use the "regular" version though, which only has a Composite video input. Sorry, forgot that that is also component input. You'd need a composite to component (or HDMI) converter of some sort.

It looks like converting composite to component is an expensive proposition, and of course, it won't gain you any better resolution than what the Component output gives you. Instead, you'd be as far ahead simply getting a USB composite capture device like this: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16815153019

 

 

Note, I have not used this device, I do not speak for how well it may or may not work, I only post it here as a representative device.

 

Oh, and you may not be able to do the whole streaming bit with the Roxio package...

Famicom= Family Computer. aka the Japanese name for the NES.

I myself haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to try using my normal AV cables, plugging them into an HDMI adapter, and plugging the HDMI from the adapter to the Roxio. I used to use this little adapter from when we had the PS3 hooked up to the TV and it didn't have HDMI, but now we have an HDTV and plenty of HDMI cables with an unused adapter. Way I figure it, might work, probably should work, but if it doesn't, I'll try figuring something out. I'm sure there are plenty of other solutions that shouldn't cost too much.
