Help! Main Menu With Blank Submenus In Mydvd

MamaMia3

Question

Please help me show the submenu titles at the Main Menu (very first landing screen) in MyDVD.

For discussion purpose, my MyDVD project is structured as follows:

- Submenu A

- submenu 1

- dmsm file a

- dmsm file b

- dmsm file c

- Submenu B

- submenu 2 (My title shows up with following movies)

- dmsm file d

- dmsm file e

- dmsm file f

- Submenu C

- submenu 3 (My title shows up with following movies)

- dmsm file g

- dmsm file h

- dmsm file i

For my MyDVD project, "Menus" tab in "Project View" shows the munu hierarchy as I would like. However,

my issue is that Submenu A, B, and C shows blank screens in the "Preview" section. I cannot figure out how to edit Submenu A, B, C screen.

I would like the Submenu A, B, C to show screen preview of submenu 1, 2, 3 respectively. Or if that is not possible, I would like to at least add "text title" to Submenu A, B, and C to help viewers navigate through the Main Menu screen.

This is my very first Roxio project. I would really appreciate your input!

Thank you.

What menu template are you starting with or are you building your own . If so, what menu template are you changing. Have you changed the buttons for your menus? You can select to have text only, preview only or images only depending on the buttons you select. It is always better to select a menu that already has the right buttons and then change the background to somethign you like.

I don't believe that there is a way to make Menu 2 shows only the menu 2 previews; the same for menu 3.

You don't think that the little arrows and the Home buttons do enough to show you viewers that there is a way to navigate? You can change those buttons also You might consider using some text on the disc label would help? Just remember to select only the buttons you want to change for the navigation.

The image is selecting a menu that gives a preview for each movie. You can also select to change the buttons to ones with preview and text. I selected this one because it has less on it to make the added text clear.

Unfortunately, there is not much documentation on using "Create DVD " because most people use the standard menu and after struggling through making video and/or slide show projects, just want to select and go.. As one person says, they want to look at the movies and not the menus ! If you are an adventurer, please play around with Create DVD and let us know some of the tricks you learn.!
