rdedits
Can Toast 11Pro version do that? It says something about authoring in the specs for the Pro version.
tsantee
Can Toast 11Pro version do that? It says something about authoring in the specs for the Pro version. No. The only difference with the "Pro" version is that the Blu-ray plugin and some additional third-party apps are included. Toast itself is no different. Some other developers have made DVD-authoring apps for the Mac that provide for motion menus. I'm not aware of other Blu-ray authoring apps for the Mac other than Toast. rdedits
Oh great! The tech support guy from Roxio told me you could with the pro version. I'm not familiar with burning ISO files but he also told me using one from Encore would carry over all my menu creations without any problem... I guess we'll see! rdedits
OK so how do I create a blu-ray DVD from an ISO file? I authored the DVD in Encore and exported as an ISO but when I mount the disc using Toast and drag it into the video section of Toast it alerts me that 2 files are of an usupported format and can not be imported. tsantee
Burn discs from .iso files by using the Image File setting in the Toast Copy window. Toast does not modify the contents of the .iso in any way. Of course the .iso has to be of a size to fit the disc because Toast's Fit-to-DVD feature only works for standard-def video DVDs (and disc images) and not Blu-ray formatted videos. rdedits
I tried that and it basically copied the ISO file to a blu ray DVD as a disc image file. I'm trying to get the ISO to become a playable blu-ray DVD.

It does not appear as an .iso on the burned disc.
