I haven't done much with the video on this due to issues with Pinnacle having sync issues. Now, I have camcorder and am trying to burn. I convert the files to MP4s and EMC 8 sees the files, but they have the ghostbuster symbol over them, so I cannot use them.

Why are you converting the files to mp4? from what format?

If you are trying to create a video DVD with those mp4 files they would be converted to mpg files again (and you lose more quality) even if EMC 8 were to accept mp4 files which as far as I know it does not.

I don't have a Blueray burner on my computer and we need to convert the file in order to reduce the service down to fit on one DVD. It is annoying that apparently there is not a good program out there to burn media because they seem to be bloated and buggy these days.

How long is the service? You can get 2 hours of best quality video on a double layer DVD which most burners will burn and most players will accept. You can get much more on a DVD using something like DivX but what you play it on must be able to play DivX files.

 

You have probably the worst version of Creator ever made. Since EMC 8, there have been at least 7 major version changes/improvements. How many operating system changes have been made sine the one you are using?

 

I agree that most software CAN be bloated and even buggy but most of the issues are related to users who want to use the program as they want it to run rather than what it was designed to accomplish. The best software is the one that thinks like you do. There are lots of programs out there and instead of fighting with one, try others to finds the one you like the best.
