Jim_Hardin
The link I have for that fix does work BUT... You must pick the Right Fix based on the specific Creator Version that you have Try it HERE I did have to use it a year or so ago, and as I recall it had to run it 2 or 3 times before I got it right - Dumb User Error

Jim_Hardin
The we get to let you do it the Long Way This envolves a lot of steps so I suggest you print this so nothing is skipped! Download and install the Revo Uninstaller. Then run it in Moderate Mode to remove any traces of Roxio. Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges. Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall. Reboot and log on to that new account. Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD. In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties. Under the Compatibility tab, make sure nothing is checked! Right click Setup.exe and select Open. Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows) Use the Default Locations! See what that does then we can talk about where to go from there
jimisaac
Having same issue with Creator NXT Pro on my HP p6740f running Windows 7. Two things have me puzzled about this issue: 1) Why this issues just popped up (5/3/13) using hundreds of time since near its release date, and 2) why this is only an issue with MyDVD. All other tasks in Creator launch without a hitch. Have read all the posts and applied the registry fix for NXT Pro and still get same error message. To add to the mystery, MyDVD will launch properly if I access it via the "Send to MyDVD" button in the Edit Video - Advanced module.
tryton
I think I have this same problem. My Roxio 2012 program would not convert videos after some computer repair work. I decided to uninstall//reinstall. But it will not reinstall. Says I have to have Roxio installed first which is what I am trying to do... Anybody have solution? You do not have the same problem since you are not even installing the same program. Please start a new thread in the Roxio 2012 forum and explain what is happening. Which of the 2 programs are you installing first?
