Fraino
It has been working fine for about 3 months now and I took it all to clean the dust and when I plugged it back in I got a message on my laptop saying ''USB not recognised'', can anyone help with this please. Thanks in advance.
Jim_Hardin
Same Port??? Did you try other Ports? What shows up in your Device Manager?
Fraino
I have 4 ports and every other USB works fine in them all and it shows 'device not recognised' in the device manager. I have deleted all the device manager multiple times and tried restarting the laptop but the same thing happens.
Jim_Hardin
The Driver can only be installed by the Software!!! I think what you want to do is try a repair but make sure you do it this way... First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. With the Device Plugged in, go into Device Manager and uninstall it! Remove the Device and set it aside for later. Now insert your Roxio Disc - run Install. Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot. With some luck, that will do the trick
