2/3 Black Screen When Trying To Record



I am having some issues while trying to start recording with the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. When I click the record button, the window pops up and allows me to do things for about 2 seconds and then 2/3 of my computer screen goes black. I can't click anything in the black screen and I have spent hours trying to look for a solution. This has happened to me on 2 different computers. I tried updating my video driver but that didn't work so I'm not sure what the problem could be. My computer specs aren't terrible and they meet the minumum system requirments that the HD Pro has. I even checked online and on the side of the box it came in. I could really use some help before I start to throw my computer and Roxio Game Capture HD Pro around the room.

How about listing these Computer Specs as well as your Windows Performance Index (Win-Pause)???


YOU think they are OK but you might be adding a little wishful thinking in there ;)


It is possible the program is corrupt so a Proper Repair would be in order as well...


First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.


With the Device Plugged in, go into Device Manager and uninstall it!


Remove the Device and set it aside for later.


Now insert your Roxio Disc - run Install.


Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)


When you reach the screen where
is offered, choose that!


When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.


There are a lot of steps there ~ Don't skip any!
