Disk Size Too Small?

Question

I tried to create a DVD of several of my movies and the progress bar at the bottom says I have 414mb of remaining space. Here is a link to a screenshot:

Here is the same screenshot: post-111839-0-55582700-1365028066_thumb.png

But when I try to run the program (tired it twice now after deleting a few things) it says that I need over 7GB of space and only have 4.7 available. What is the use of a progress bar that is not correct?

Any advice out there?

Beats me. Toast should be able to fit about 3 hours of video to a single-layer video DVD when Toast is doing the encoding. If you have more than that then you can choose Save as Disc Image and after it is done select the .toast image file in the Toast Copy window and Toast will attempt its fit-to-DVD process to burn everything to one single-layer disc. Alternatively you can use a DL disc and not need to go through the extra steps.
