After One Burned Dvd, Won't Burn Anymore

betel

Question

I captured video from vhs tapes using Roxio Creator 2012 and the video capture usb.

Clicked on Video/Movies

Under Create

Create DVDs (which opened Roxio MyDVD)

I added my sister's wedding video without doing any editing. Keeping it simple, just the title page and no buttons.

Clicked burn and was able to burn a DVD successfully! I tried it on both my computer and a DVD player.

A couple of days later I tried to burn another video of the wedding. Nothing burned. Tried a couple more times, but only made "frisbees".

I tried to copy the burned wedding DVD and that didn't work.

I have reinstalled Roxio Creator 2012.

Not sure what happened in that couple of day time frame. The only thing that has changed on my computer is that it updated to Internet Explorer 10.

Thanks

Try dumping IE 10, and going back to IE 9, or whatever you had before IE 10.

When you were successfully creating, and burning, projects, before you installed IE 10, then started having problems after you installed it, it should have been a dead giveaway on what to check first.

Also make sure that you are using good quality discs - Memorex and store brands are not worth bringing home. Yes, you can have good and bad ones in a stack. Verbatim and JVC TaiyoYuden (on line only) seem to be the best.

I agree with Bruce, IE 10 may be the issue. There is a post in another forum that says the same thing. It worked before IE 10 and did not work after. Restoring IE 9 fixed the problem with that program. If you don;t know how, go to add or remove programs, view installed updates, select the update to IE 10 and select to remove it.
