will my laptop be able to work if i do certain things or will i have to get a new one????????????

You don't upgrade a laptop especially a older one like you have.

I would suggest buying a new one with enough horse power to handle the software that you want to use.

This is one big thing that kills it with the editing software.

Card name: Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family

Manufacturer: Intel Corporation

Chip type: Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family

DAC type: Internal

Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A12&SUBSYS_30D8103C&REV_0C

Display Memory: 320 MB

Dedicated Memory: 0 MB

Shared Memory: 320 MB

There was something, can't remember now, but Vista Basic OS rings a bell with Roxio software!

would i be able to edit it on the roxio software?

You didn't follow directions and attach the file so I could see everything on your system!

Your way below minimum system requirements required to run the editing software.

im not sure.. you probably can open the video file with the roxio software, however if your computer doesnt meet the minimum requirements the roxio software may not function properly.

actually the adobe encoder records video as an .FLV file.. i dont think you will be edit that type of file with the roxio software.

you can record with the adobe encoder and then upload it to youtube.. you cant use the encoder with the roxio software..

also the adobe encoder is just an encoder.. it encodes the signal from the roxio and streams and/or records it to your hard drive.. it is NOT an editing tool.. you cant edit your videos with the encoder, it just encodes the signal and sends it to the stream site and/or your HD.

i did for 2 years.. i just got a dual core cpu yesterday, but for the past 2 years i have used the roxio game cap with a single-core celeron mickey mouse computer.. i now have a dual core cpu but the adobe encoder works great with a sub-par computer.. i recorded over 200 videos with a single-core intel celeron processor using the Adobe Flash Live Encoder.. You can see my recorded videos at

see my reply above and check out my post GREAT WAY TO STREAM/RECORD.. DOWNLOAD THE ADOBE FLASH LIVE MEDIA ENCODER and use that instead of the included Roxio Game Cap Software!!

JEDI_CAPRICORN, do you run a PC that doesn't meet minimum system requirements and has a Intel Celeron CPU?

Most folks check that out before buying the software!

If it's a celeron your pretty much out of luck.
