Will This Cable Work?

Hello, I just bought a roxio game capture HD pro, and I love it, but there is just one problem that lies in my TV. The thing is that my TV does not have the needed holes to plug in the component cables all it has is a Scart input and 2 HDMI inputs and transporting my ps3 from one room to another is quite annoying. So what I wanted to ask was. Will this cable make it so that I can record in my own room. I play on the PS3. Any help will be good, thank you.

The first one maybe.I've never used Scart so I can't say for sure.

 

The second I doubt.

HDMI is a digital signal and component is analog.

There needs to be some kind of D/A converter in there somewhere.

A cable doesn't have one so I'd be very leery of it.

If you look farther down that page you'll see a couple of the converters.

If the cable would do that why would there be a need for a converter?

 

Some mfg's do have a special HDMI plug that provides proprietary analog data that could use such a cable but the PS3 is not one of them.
