Music Stops When Viewing Online Show

rudzirs1

Question

I created a photoshow on my desktop and successfully uploaded it. Everything worked fine. However, when I made a change to a caption and re-uploaded the file, music no longer works properly. I have 5 different music segments in this show. When I go to the music tab online the music all plays all the way through. However, when viewing the photoshow, the music plays for the first few slides of each segment and then stops. I have tried logging out of the desktop, deleting the online show then logging off of that, then logging into everything fresh and reuploading the show. Still doesn't work. I've also tried viewing the online show from different computers in case it was a problem with my browser, and the show still doesn't work. Is this an issue with Roxio's website?

It is just so odd that the music plays fine when it is not attached to any slides. I've tried deleting the online music, then reloading it and attaching to slides and that doesn't fix the problem either.

I am having the same problem again. I did just upload the new version of Flash, so I'm thinking I need to revert. I am not technically savvy AT ALL - could you advise on how I would know what version I have currently, and how exactly to revert to an older one? And which older version should I choose?

Try clicking the link in post #15 and finding out how to revert and solve your problem..

I have version 11..7.xxx of Adobe Flash. The show works fine in IE, it appears that Chrome is the problem. I created the show on my desktop and uploaded it with all the music. Works in IE, not in Chrome. Then I tried removing all the music from the online version and readding it. that didn't work for chrome either. Thanks for the tip about YouTube, that might be the way to go. I'll try it. Thanks!

I have not proved it but it may be the latest version of Adobe Flash player that has caused the problem. Please let us know which version you have. Apparently it affects only those PhotoShows that use purchased mp3; the shows with PhotoShow built in music don't seem to be affected.

There are several ways but the easiest is to open the PhotoShow in Internet Explorer, once it start playing , left click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of your toolbar and open volume mixer. Scroll to the right if necessary. You should see the information there. Please let us know which one you have. Mine is 11.7.xxxx

For now, consider posting the PhotoShows you need on YouTube. Remember there is a time limit so that won't work for longer shows. You can make it private so only the people you want to see it can. If you made the PhotoShow on-line, you can download it to your desktop version and then upload it. The download version will have the music and it should be there when you upload it. If you do that, please let us know if it worked.

I buy my music from Amazon's MP3 store. All of the music I've bought from Amazon for this show is 128kpbs.

I am using Chrome as my browser. Don't know if it is significant, but two days ago the music was playing just fine through the entire show online. I don't have FF, but I will go try IE and see what happens.

However, when viewing the photoshow, the music plays for the first few slides of each segment and then stops.

I heard what you did when I played back your slide show; i.e., . the first few notes of the music each time it changed and then silence.

I had no problem hearing the music with no interuptions for the 8:58 minute slide show!

I'm using FF, what browser are you two using to veiw it?

My condolences also.

I heard what you did when I played back your slide show; i.e., . the first few notes of the music each time it changed and then silence. I know that the music is all mp3s but all mp3 are not alike. Right click on one, select properties and go to details and tell us the bit rate. Where did you get the music? I buy from Amazon and it is approx. 250 kbps.

All of the audio is mp3. Like I said, it works when you click on the music on the "add music" tab, but not when music is attached to slides. Here is the link. http://www.photoshow.../watch/qT4fu8KA

Thanks for looking!

Very touching slideshow, sorry for your loss.

I heard every song through the whole slideshow.

If it isn't too private, post the link here and I will try it. If it is semi-private, sen me a p.m. with the link and I'll try it. For pm howver over my screen name and send message.

Try this one to see if the audio plays through. I just checked it and it does for me.

I don't know of anyone else reporting this issue. What format audio did you use?
