Can My Pc Handle Roxio?

GrizzlyTed

Question

Sorry I'm really new to this and plan on starting my Youtube channel soon for PS3. And curious if my computer will be able to handle it,sorry if I didn't post all the information you needed,I really don't know what to post for you to know. Can a moderator possibily move this to another section of the forum since I might just ask for the standard Roxio game capture if my computer can't handle the HD,thanks!

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)

System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.

System Model: OptiPlex 755

BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A03

Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.6GHz

Memory: 2048MB RAM

Sorry if I gave off that type of impression D=

I didn't know that,I feel silly now, when I type in Roxio all I see is game capturer

Where do you type in "Roxio"?

The Game Capture is only a small part of the Roxio line although the "gamers" seem to have the most problems

Most of it will come from pressing Win-Pause. That will yeild this screen:

Now compare yours against the links that have been provided ;)

Your HDD Space you should be able to locate.

If you have specific questions, drop back!

Seems much more simple the way you post it... Thanks for helping an idiot like me D=

I don't know how to check if my computers reaches the requirements though. I don't know how to explain it,but I can't tell if the requirements are to high or to low so I plan on just trying to learn myself somehow, because really I don't even know the difference between the... hell I don't even know what the words in the requirement mean,I'm not smart when it comes to computers.

No I meant I don't know how to do it myself, like checking if my computer reaches the requirements without having to make this thread asking for the help of others.

Oh okay I see what you mean now. That's good to know than D=. Well if I ever try I'll make sure to confirm it.

Here is the link that shows the System Requirements

You have been told several times your computer does not meet the requirements.

NO Ted, not you at all!!!!

That is a general opinon based on what I have seen here. And like all generalities, there are exceptions! ;)

You asked about your PC and we told you it is below minimums...

You asked about a MAC and I told what a few users here have suggested will work... However, not One has ever confirmed that they have used it and it does work

Okay nevermind I feel like a total idiot haha,I was recently introduced to Roxio by a friend so I always typed in "Roxio game capturer" not just Roxio s. And apologies if I was bothersome,I just don't know how to know if my computer reaches an specific requirement.

Yes that is what I said... :)

Sorry if I gave off that type of impression D=

But the game capture device is only one part of the full Roxio line of products. And it's a fairly recent product too, compared to the software line which goes back before there was such a thing as a PS3.

Well yes it does work on newer MACs, assuming...

It needs a MAC running Parallel along with Win7 or so.

At least that is the theory as NO ONE has ever come back and said it works

(gamers are like sponges ~ they suck up answers but don't offer much in return ^_^ )

Ahh I see what you mean. I'm not sure if I have money for a Windows 7 CD if I'm correct you have to buy it,I'll see about it,unfortunately I might have to buy the 480p one... Also what ya mean by your post, gamers are ungrateful? I'd assume almost everyone here is a gamer since I thought Roxio was a game capturer o.o

Scroll down to the bottom of the following link. It shows the minimum system requirements.

http://www.roxio.com...ame_hd_B_052012

Though I'm not sure how computers work soo that's why I'm asking.

Your system is below minimum requirements

  • Microsoft Windows® 8, 7, Vista™ SP2, XP (SP3 for 32 bit & SP2 for 64 bit), Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon x2 64 2.0 GHz, 2GB RAM
  • Dual Core 2.3 GHz above is recommended for 1080 30p/60i recording.

Curses! This really sucks x.x,thanks for the reply,I might check my laptop to see if it works, sadly Roxio doesn't work for Mac =.=

Thanks for the reply by the way!
