I Keep Getting 'no Signal' In Red Every Time I Start Up The Program, How Do I Fix This?

Question

Everytime i open up the roxio capture thing it loads up and then says no signal in red and the screen is black, i have tried everything, uninstalled and reinstalled, unplugged all cables, changed the tv resolution and still nothing works. Bare in mind I use component cables as I have the old xbox, please help :wacko:

??? Does your old Xbox output Component signal or is it Composite???

 

I have never had one so I have to ask.

 

If you read through all the other posts like yours, you will see a suggestions as to what you should be doing to check ;)

If I ever face the red "No Signal" on my computer, I would usually (make sure to have the input and output cables connected properly) :

Step 1 - Plug the Roxio HD Pro to my computer and start Capture program.

Step 2 - Sees the red "No Signal" on the capture program (make sure it is on the correct input).

Step 3 - Disconnect the Roxio HD Pro (by pulling out the USB cable of course) without closing the Capture program.

Step 4 - Plug the RGC back in and wait.

Step 5 - Once there's footage on your TV close the Capture program.

Step 6 - Open the Capture program again and see.

 

It worked for me all the time :)

I did exactly that mate but for some reason my xbox is constantly on, even when the usb isnt plugged into the laptop. So all the wires are plugged in and everything but the picture is still on the screen when the roxio isnt even on? And no lights are on my roxio, so I cant reaslly complete step 5 because the footage on my tv never goes away :/
