Intermittent Flashing Video That Is Burned To Dvd

okblaze1

Question

Just installed Easy VHS to DVD (bought it several years ago) and decided to copy VHS-C tapes to DVD - installed software, plugged in camcorder (composite video and single audio line outs) - so far so good. Started software and burning DVD when I noticed an intermittent flashing on the preview screen on PC monitor - camcorder video screen NOT FLASHING... Finished burning tape to DVD, finalized and played back - flashing burned to DVD...very unhappy...

I deleted my desktop's DVD via control panel / device manager and re-started desktop PC to make sure I had the latest driver for my DVD drive...

Burned another VHS-C tape and still get this intermittent flashing that is copied to the DVD...

Anyone see this before?

Most of us recommend first capturing to your hard drive and then burning to the DVD. You can then view the captured video before burning it to DVD. This process does not take much longer but saves you from creating coaster.. You should also realize that a standard 4.7GB DVD can only hold 60 minutes of best quality video.

Also video DVD are always finalized automatically by the program

I am having the same issue - lots of flashing on recording. However, I AM recording first to my computer, not trying to burn directly to DVD.

How can I get the flashing to stop? What is causing the problem?

Thank you.

Tell us about your computer via dxdiag.exe. Follow these instructions carefully (Link ) What else do you have running while capturing the video - antivirus?
