Creating A Boot Cd For Spinrite

BrianKelley

Question

I need to get Spinrite to work and they told me to ask here. This is what they told me to ask.

You may want to contact the manufacturer of your CD burning software. They may have a way to create a DOS boot CD-ROM that you can copy SpinRite to as well.

The CD driver is missing when I try this and the question is if I can somehow add it to the CD so it will work

Anyone know how to do this?

Many thanks!

What burning software do you have?

Do a google search on "Spinrite Roxio" and you will get lots of hits some of which seem to be related to your question.

So, the last time I bought Spinrite, it came as a .ISO file (spinrite.iso), which can be used directly to make your bootable CD. No muss, no fuss. Just open Creator Classic, click the option to "Create CD from Image file" (paraphrased), point it to the .ISO file, if that's what you have, and burn the CD. Or, is that not what you received?
