Easy Cd&dvd Burning - Can't Get My Videos From Camera To Roxio's Software

gentle gladys

Question

I just bought Roxio's "easy CD&DVD burning" software.

I managed to get my videos from camera to a trial version of Amersoft burning software previous to buying the Roxio software.

But I am clueless as to how to do this now with Roxio.

I have a Canon Digital camera. I can download videos to Canon's Image Browser software, but cannot transfer the images to Roxio. Need help, advice, thanks.

What is it you want to do? You do not need any software to transfer the photos from your digital camera to your computer. Connect your camera to the computer and use Windows Explorer to copy the files from the camera to your computer.

Hi Digital Guri, thanks for your reply. I am able to get my videos on to my computer - no problem there.

The difficulty is in transferring the videos from my Canon software to the Roxio software so that I can burn the video on to a dvd.

When I plug my camera into the computer, the Canon software that (I downloaded)came with the camera pops up and stores the videos. The software is called ImageBrowser. How do I get the videos from the ImageBrowser to Roxio, so I can use the dvd burning function of Roxio??? Should I uninstall the ImageBrowser and see if Roxio takes over the uploading of the videos???

Gladys,

First, find where ImageBrowser is storing the videos on your computer.

Then, see what format the videos files are in - what is the file extension they have? [e.g. .mov; .avi; .mpg; .mp4; etc]

Next, run MyDVD Express, one of the video utilities in your Easy CD & DVD Burning package.

Now, select "Add New Movie" and navigate to the folder where ImageBrowser stores your videos.

As long as the 'prohibited' icon post-208-0-23349100-1366693669_thumb.jpg isn't showing on your videos, you should be able to select one or more of them and then click 'Add' to put them into your project. It should be plain sailing from there.

Regards,

Brendon
